IMGP4404 - Version 2

CRESCENDO FOUNDATION is a non-profit organisation. Its main objective is to promote, support and share music and musical education as an exciting and interactive experience in a form of concert/talk and workshops accompanied by visual art.

What We Do

– Concert-Talk: we run educational music concerts and workshops with high calibre professional musicians in a Concert Plus Storyline format, i.e. music is explained and illustrated!

Apprenticeship Programme: young musicians aged 7+ from different musical backgrounds are invited to rehearse and perform onstage alongside our professionals at our public concerts.

Centre for Music Youth: we host pupil concerts which are free and open to the public. These events give pupils taught by different teachers a chance to share their music with their family, friends and community. All teachers and their pupils are welcome to participate.

Premises

Our concerts and post concert receptions usually take place in the beautiful surroundings of Abbey Road Church in St John’s Wood, London; opposite the most famous recording studio complex in the world – Abbey Road Studious.

Our Values

Sharing – music is best shared, whether it is in the learning or the hearing
Education – building music making and music appreciation skills for children
Fun – to share the fun of music with people of all ages
Community – to create a local community of music goers
Enrichment – making people’s lives better through the expansive human experience of classical music

From the Founders

“The desire to set up this non-profit organisation is driven by two things. Firstly, as mothers of young children, we are interested in musical educational programmes, which appeal not only to the little ones but hopefully to the entire family. Secondly, having Russian roots, we would like to bring the finest of the Russian and Western musical tradition into our programmes.”
